Community notes:

• The technology originally planned to support fibre delivery to Tancook Islands was via high-capacity microwave radio. After analysis, Bell decided not to introduce this new technology due to IT costs and the limited opportunity for use in the network.
• As of April 2024, 176 civic addresses remain.
• Without the high-capacity link, Bell will not be able to deploy a fibre to the home solution to residents of the island.
  
• Bell's plan is to expand fixed wireless to all residents. This is a service that some residents already have in place.
